Firewall Overview
The Network Appliance that does it all Period
Linux Solutions Company customized LSC Firewall Appliance performs all
of the functions of devices from companies like Microsoft, Symantec,
Cisco, and McAfee. It does this in one single multi-purpose appliance
that costs a fraction of what you would spend on even one of the devices
from those other companies.

The LSC firewall uses stateful inspection to protect your users and
servers from intrusion. LSC firewall also allows you to decide what
services your users have access to, and what services have access to
them.
Virtual Private Networks allow remote users to access your systems
securely via the internet. VPN technology also allows multi-location companies to save
money on pricey point-to-point leased lines by using secure tunnels
through the internet to link locations.
The LSC firewall acts as a border virus scanner, eliminating the threat
of virus infection to all internal computers, whether they run anti-virus software or not. LSC
firewall inspects each packet of data that travels across its interface
and automatically strips malicious code from that data.
LSC firewall uses web proxy technology to ensure that your users have
access to web content that is appropriate. Sites and services can be
blocked by genre, as well as by use of black lists and white lists,
thereby protecting younger users from inappropriate material, and
reducing non work-related internet usage. LSC firewall also inspects
inbound and outbound email to reduce the amount of spam your users must
muddle through every day.
LSC firewall tracks all internet activity including email, and web
surfing to individual users or computers. You’ll be able to see hard
evidence of attempts to circumvent the system, or simply how much time a
user spends on non work-related websites.
The LSC firewall administration interface is delivered via a web
interface that controls every aspect of the device’s performance. Access is granted to authenticated
users, and can be configured to allow access from remote sites.
